Rome, Italy — October 23–24, 2025 — The AI4CUAV consortium met at Link Campus University (Rome) for a two-day partner visit and live field experiments under the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme. The meeting combined technical working sessions with coordinated, real-world trials to advance our AI-driven counter-UAS framework.
Across both days, all partners executed their planned field experiments, focusing on synchronized multi-sensor acquisition and rapid evaluation cycles. As part of the trials, we captured electro-optical (EO) video sequences across diverse drone flight scenarios alongside radar measurements. This joint effort expands the shared dataset and enables precise cross-sensor alignment for downstream fusion, benchmarking, and model validation.
Teams also shared preliminary results and collected structured feedback from end users and domain experts. These inputs will guide the next iteration of our work: refining fusion pipelines, stress-testing runtime performance, and preparing additional trials in varied operational environments.
The Rome activities were also highlighted in partner communications. The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) reported on the meeting and experiments, confirming the October 23–24, 2025 dates and Rome location, while Link Campus University noted the Rome project meeting on 24 October 2025 in its research news feed.
