On September 28-30, 2024, during the 16th International Conference on ICT Innovations in Ohrid, North Macedonia, a workshop titled “Innovations in Anti-Drone Technologies: Advances in Detection, Recognition, and Tracking” was held. This workshop gathered a diverse group of ICT professionals, defense experts, and scholars to explore cutting-edge developments in counter-drone technologies. The session focused on the latest advancements in drone detection, recognition, and tracking, critical areas in the growing field of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) security.

The workshop was led by Alessandro Cantelli-Forti, the project director of the Ai4CUAV – Innovative AI-framework to enable the detection, classification and tracking of killer- drones, who guided participants through the latest breakthroughs in UAV defense systems. As drones become increasingly prevalent in various sectors, addressing the security risks associated with rogue or unauthorized drone operations is more important than ever. The workshop covered key developments in detection, recognition, and tracking systems designed to neutralize potential drone threats.

The workshop on Innovations in Anti-Drone Technologies at the 16th International Conference on ICT Innovations was a key event, providing both in-depth knowledge and practical experience in this critical field. As drone technology continues to advance, so does the need for effective countermeasures, and this workshop successfully highlighted the latest trends and tools to address these challenges.

With growing threats posed by unauthorized UAVs, the session emphasized the importance of detection, recognition, and tracking innovations. The insights gained from this workshop will be instrumental in shaping future security strategies for industries ranging from defense to critical infrastructure protection.
