Amerigo Capria, PhD

RaSS, Researcher

Received the Italian Laurea degree (M.S.) in Telecommunication Engineering in March 2004 from the University of Pisa, Italy. From May 2004 to December 2004 he was a post-graduate research assistant for the National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) at the Department of Information Engineering - University of Pisa. In 2007 he has been a Ph.D. visiting student at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Adelaide (Australia). In March 2008 he received the Ph.D. in Remote Sensing at the University of Pisa. In April 2012 he became a CNIT permanent researcher at the RaSS (Radar and Surveillance Systems) National Laboratory in Pisa. From January 2017 he is a CNIT head of research at the RaSS Lab.

Anna Lisa Saverino

RaSS, Researcher

Graduated in Telecommunication Engineering (105/110) in 2006 at the University of Pisa. She received the title of Qualified Engineer in 2007. In the same year, She carried out an apprenticeship in a national industry in the field of home automation systems. This experience has allowed her to gain knowledge on embedded systems used to control and monitor home and naval environment. From 2008 – 2010, She was Ph.D. student in Radar and Remote Sensing at Ph.D. School ”Leonardo da Vinci” – University of Pisa.In 2010, She received the Ph.D. degree at University of Pisa. Since 2008, she has been involved as a researcher in several projects funded by the Italian ministries (Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of University and European organisations.

Samuele Gelli, PhD

RaSS, Researcher

Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, University of Pisa (Italy), September 2013 Doctor of Philosophy in Remote Sensing, Ph.D, University of Pisa (Italy), March 2017.
University of Pisa, Ph.D School in Remote Sensing, Ph.D Candidate, November 2013 – November 2016 University of Pisa/ RaSS-CNIT, Postdoctoral Researcher, November 2016 – February 2019 RaSS-CNIT Post, Graduate Researcher, February 2019 – Present University of Pisa, Assistant professor for the course of Digital Communication, January 2019 - Present.
My research topic during the Ph.D activity is about non-cooperative moving target imaging reconstruction. In particular, the research is focused on clutter suppression through STAP processing and target imaging by using multichannel bistatic SAR systems. My current research activity is mainly in the following field of specialization: radar imaging including SAR and Inverse-SAR imaging, array beamforming and interference suppression and target detection.
